I bought it from one of my clients an except for an occasional paper jam it it a great scanner. I've loaded up some big documents in the past
but now-a-days most documents are available in PDF file and I don't have to re-scan them in but a lot of simple documents 2 to 10 pages
need to be scanned in and it's great. The quality of the scans using Adobe Acrobat ( and I wouldn't use anything else ) is fabulous.
And HP does upgrade their software when you need it. I would recommend this.

5Works Well - I want one for Home!
    By Jennifer Allyn
I have one of these scanners to use at work and am now considering one for home use. I generally use the Adobe software and ask to create a .pdf from the scanner. Incorporates a nice, broad flatbed surface and a strong feed for multi-page documents. Adobe preview will let you size the pages up or down and preview your work. Adobe OCR seems to work well with it. I use mostly document feed at work and want to scan family pictures for preservation at home.
